This prayer is a sincere conversation with God. It’s not magic words that save, but the faith and sincerity of your heart as you surrender to Him. When you pray, believe that God is listening and that His Word is faithful to fulfill what He promises.
If you’ve come this far, it’s because God is touching your heart. This prayer is not a magic formula, but a sincere way of expressing your faith and your decision to God. Find a place where you can focus and, if possible, pray out loud, declaring with your mouth what your heart believes.
The “prayer of surrender and salvation” is a special moment in any person’s life, when you recognize your need for God, repent of your sins, and invite Jesus Christ to be your only Lord and Savior. Based on the Bible, especially Romans 10:9-10 and John 1:12, we understand that salvation is a gift from God, received by faith.
Step by Step for the Prayer of Salvation:
1. Acknowledge that you need salvation.“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
3. Believe that Jesus died and rose again for you.“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
4. Confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior.“Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” (John 1:12)
Pray to GOD:
Lord God, in the Name of Jesus I come before Your Holy Presence, and:
I acknowledge that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness.
I believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins and rose again to give me new life.
I surrender my heart to You, confessing Jesus as my only Lord and Savior. Write my name in the Book of Eternal Life in the Name of Jesus.
Forgive me, transform me, and guide me by Your Holy Spirit.
In Jesus’ name, amen!
What happens after the prayer?
1. New birth: You are made a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17).
2. Divine sonship: Now, you are a child of God (John 1:12).
3. Receive the Holy Spirit: God sends His Spirit to dwell in you (Ephesians 1:13).
4. A new journey begins: You start a life of relationship with God, spiritual growth, and participation in the family of faith.
Tips for Your New Walk with Christ:
Read the Bible daily.
Seek a Christian church committed to God’s Word.
Pray regularly, developing intimacy with God.
Share your new faith with others.
The prayer of surrender is the first step in a life full of purpose with Jesus. It’s not a “magic formula,” but a sincere commitment of faith and surrender. “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life...” (John 3:36).
COMPLETE PRAYER OF SALVATION:
Dear Heavenly Father, in the Name of Your Son Jesus Christ I come before Your Holy Presence.
I place myself in Your presence at this moment, recognizing that You are the Holy God, Creator of all things.
I admit that I am a sinner and that my ways and choices have separated me from You. I understand that, by myself, there is nothing I can do to erase my mistakes or deserve Your forgiveness. I need a Savior.
Today, I believe with all my heart that You sent Your only Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for me. I believe that His blood was shed to purify me from all sin and that He rose from the dead to give me new life.
Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins. I am sorry for having lived far from You and I ask for Your forgiveness.
At this moment, in faith, I open the door of my heart and my life. I receive You and confess You as my ONLY, sufficient, and eternal LORD and SAVIOR.
Take control of my life. Transform my character, my thoughts, and my desires. Fill me with Your
Holy Spirit and teach me to walk in Your ways every day. From now on, my life belongs to You.
Thank You for saving me. Thank You for the gift of eternal life.
In Your precious Name, Jesus, I pray.
Amen.

I acknowledge that I am a sinner and that I have sinned against You. I admit that I cannot save myself. I confess that I need a Savior. I recognize that without Jesus, I am lost and condemned.
Forgive me, Lord, for all my sins:
Those I committed knowingly
Those I committed out of ignorance
Sins of thought, word, and deed
Sins of omission—the good I failed to do
I sincerely repent and decide to turn away from sin.
I want to live a life that pleases You. In Jesus' Name! Amen!
PART 2: FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST:
Lord Jesus Christ, I believe that You are:
The Son of God, God incarnate;
The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world;
